Our targetgroup 

Skills#EU will impact on the main target groups which are the trainees who are participating in a VET mobility programme and the trainers who are mentoring the trainees before and after their stay abroad.

The intellectual outputs which are produced in the Skills#EU project will add to a positive European experience of trainees in VET mobility programmes and provide them with a new component of civic education which is currently largely underrepresented in their entire education. The trainers on the other hand are enabled to easily integrate the civic components in their programme and extend their educational offer. By its European setup and the focus on multipliers, the Skills#EU project is largely increasing the promotion of European values in Europe.

Direct target groups

VET trainees taking part in mobility programmes, which can be apprentices, students at VET schools, other young people taking part in mobility programmes with a VET background.  The partners all together have  more than 500 trainees each year.

  • teachers , trainers, other staff  and managers of hosting organisations
  •  trainers of enterprises and other staff  involved in the collaborating partners

Indirect target groups

·         fellow students who are getting trained together with the targeted trainees. They will be informed and motivated to also take part in a VET mobility programme and become more active European citizens. They are chosen because the word of mouth marketing between the young trainees is a very strong channel to reach youngsters in general.

  • sending companies & vocational schools, because they are interested in receiving back a well trained, open-minded and tolerant trainee
  • chambers of commerce, because they are  interested in fostering high quality placements with a valuable outcome (professional, transversal and European skills)
  • German network of mobility coaches as they inform young people about their possibilities to take part in mobility programmes and therefore have a direct influence on them

  • trade unions and Europe’s labour market services for similar reasons then the chambers of commerce
